Kratovil, the only congressman who lives on the Eastern Shore, is a vastly better choice for a moderate district.  We strongly endorse Frank Kratovil.

In the First District, roughly the central third of the county, we recommend that Harford voters return incumbent Rep. Frank Kratovil to Washington.

A new survey from the Frank Kratovil campaign shows the freshman congressman leading his GOP opponent, Andy Harris, by 6 percentage points. The stop was part of Kratovil's Main Street Economic Tour which has taken him to towns around his district in recent weeks.

CORDOVA U.S. Rep. Frank Kratovil, D-Md.-1st, commended farmers for their conservation efforts Tuesday at a Cordova farm, the first stop on his conservation tour in Talbot and Wicomico counties. Kratovil learned about conservation practices at Mark and Vicki Sump's 188-acre Dunmore Heath Farm, which won awards as the 2009 Talbot County Cooperators of the year and 2005 Century Farm. The Sumps grow corn, wheat and soybeans there and on an additional farm, along with a nursery operation with seven glass greenhouses. The farm also has three large poultry houses that house 90,000 chickens grown for Allen's.

Two Maryland legislators introduced a bill Tuesday that would authorize a coastal program intended to identify the most important natural resource problems and solutions. U.S. Sen. Benjamin Cardin, D-Md., introduced the Coastal Habitat Conservation Act that would allow the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Coastal Program to identify those things. U.S. Rep.
